About the Women of Lehigh Scholarship Fund
One of the ways to support Soaring Together is with a gift of any size to the Women of Lehigh Scholarship Fund. These gifts are put toward scholarships and financial aid, opening doors for more women to attend Lehigh.
Support for the Women of Lehigh Scholarship Fund counts toward the $50 million Soaring Together fundraising goal and participation in the Lehigh Fund. The Lehigh Fund, which brings together thousands of alumni, parents, and friends each year to collectively support the university’s highest priorities, is used to bolster Lehigh’s scholarship and financial aid budget.
About the Soaring Together Scholarship Program
A leadership gift to the Soaring Together Scholarship Program is an investment in the future. This exciting new program, open to all applicants beginning with the Class of 2027, offers full-tuition scholarships complemented by mentorship and experiential learning opportunities for students passionate about advancing gender equity. Through career and professional development, grants for experiential learning, and alumni networking and support, the Soaring Together Scholars will grow, discover, and create change as they honor Lehigh’s first half-century of coeducation and look boldly ahead to the next.

A Legacy of Impact
Soaring Together celebrates the grit and spirit of the first women who took classes at an all-male Lehigh back in 1902, the first women graduate students accepted in 1918, and the first 169 female undergraduate students, whom the Board of Trustees voted to admit on May 29, 1970.
All of these women arrived on South Mountain ready to break down barriers. Their presence at Lehigh forever transformed the university and contributed to its strength and promise. Beyond campus, their impact — in their careers and in their communities — has been tremendous.
